Florida Association of Broadcast Journalism Awards
Such an honor today at @fabjflorida ‘s Press Forward conference! Last year I had the opportunity to work with @emilychingmedia in our Electronic Journalism 1 course with @rickbrunson61 on “The Unheard Society Podcast”. This project was the most fun, and most meaningful piece I worked on. Bringing Marco Williams’ story to life was the highlight of this course. Today we received an award out of the entire state of Florida for Cultural/Historical Feature in College Radio for this piece. I am incredibly grateful for having the best partner @emilychingmedia to accept this award with! A huge thank you to @rickbrunson61 for being teaching us all about the ins and outs of audio journalism! Here’s to more storytelling! Cheers!🎙️ #dreamteam #gkco
